Quickstart

What you have

• An ARCADIA appliance — the small AI unit
• Power cord
• Optional USB speaker/microphone puck (for hands-free voice)
• This Quickstart and the full Manual

You do not need internet. ARCADIA works fully offline.

1. Power on

1. Place the unit on a flat, ventilated surface.
2. Plug in the power cord.
3. Press the power button on the back.
4. Wait about three minutes. The unit is silent — no screen, no keyboard needed.

ARCADIA is running when the WiFi network ARCADIA appears on your phone.

2. Connect

ARCADIA creates its own private WiFi. Any device can join:

• Network: ARCADIA
• Password: survival

Open any browser and type any address — arcadia, start, anything — and press Go. Every address routes to the ARCADIA home page.

The first time, accept the browser’s certificate warning (Advanced → Proceed). One-time per device.

3. Ask your first question

On the home page, type a question into Ask AI — for example: “How do I purify water without bleach?” — and hit Send. ARCADIA answers using the local language model and cites sources from the on-device library.

4. Try the other panels

• Search — full-text search across the entire library
• Browse — documents organized by domain (medical, agriculture, etc.)
• Maps — pan and search the planet, offline
• Voice — tap the mic button, speak, hear the answer
